An RL Winston bamboo fly rod, 8'9", 2-piece, 1-tip, built for a #7 line. Serial #1103. 4.4 ounces. San Francisco era rod. The butt is 1 1/2" shorter than the tip, so the total length when put together is 8' 7 1/2". The conclusion is that the ferrule broke off and was re-done at the factory leaving the butt short. Used fair condition with some varnish scrapes and chips. One hook dig behind the lettering. The original owners' name is inked on the butt section in the usual place. Tan colored cane done in a three up node pattern. Tan wraps with cinnamon edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip-tops. The grip is 6" long and turned to a full wells profile.
